Richard M. Kidney is a first-generation attorney hailing from Anne Arundel County, Maryland. Mr. Kidney handles a diverse range of cases including employment discrimination, wrongful termination, contract disputes, and personal injury. Mr. Kidney joined CBM in 2023 as a Law Clerk, then becoming an associate attorney in 2024.
Prior to earning his JD from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law in 2022, Mr. Kidney graduated from the Johns Hopkins University in 2015. Between graduation and law school, Mr. Kidney worked for several years as a middle school teacher in Annapolis, Maryland and San Antonio, Texas.
In law school, Mr. Kidney cultivated his legal knowledge and skills as an editor for the University of Maryland Law Journal of Race, Religion, Gender, and Class, member of Maryland Law's chapter of the National Lawyers' Guild (Secretary, 2020-21), and student attorney in the Youth, Education, and Justice Clinic. Mr. Kidney also served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Richard R. Trunnell, Circuit Court for Anne Arundel County (2020); and the Peggy Browning Fellow for the Laborers' International Union of North America (2021).
Prior to joining CBM, Mr. Kidney served as a law clerk to the Honorable Matthew M. Maciarello, Circuit Court for Wicomico County (2022-23). When he is not serving his clients, Mr. Kidney enjoys hiking, attending Minor League Baseball games, and spending time with his cat, Amunet.
